I am excited to be a new addition to your user forum. The reason it took me a bit to get signed up was that all the mails went to my spam folder.
I am able to run the notebooks. I cannot see the animations in the notebooks graphics window, but I can specify a port to a localhost and open it in a browser.

Hi Ole, Welcome. Great to have you join the forum. I believe the trouble you are having is due to the auto generated URL not working on WSL. kdFlex has been updated to use localhost, which should be more robust. Can you please downloaded the latest kdFlex release and install it using the Update instructions on the Getting started page? Please let us know if this fixes the problem. If things do not work at first, please try unsetting the DISPLAY environment variable by running unset DISPLAY at the command line. Please let us know how it goes.
